Acts 13:2-3
As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit
said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to
which I have called them.”
Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them,
they sent them away.
Greetings Bible Enthusiast!
The duration and frequency of fasting is a personal issue.
I have a dear friend in the Lord who fasted one day a week
for a year and a half, specifically praying about the
leadership in the church she was attending.
She never told anyone about what she was doing, I only learned
of it after the fact. Near the end of that time period she and
her family moved, and ended up leaving that church to attend
another one closer to their new home.
Though the leadership problem was not successfully solved,
the Lord answered her prayers by taking her and her family
out of an unhealthy situation. She felt that the fasting
helped her grow spiritually in many ways, especially by
reviving her prayer life.
Fasting can be a way of reviving your prayer life too!!
God Bless You!

–FEATURED FUNNY:
A mother asked her son why he didn’t want to take his little
sister along while he went fishing, and he said, “Because the
last time I took her, I didn’t catch a thing.”
Mother said, “I’m sure she’ll be quiet if you just explain it
to her.”
“Oh, it wasn’t the noise,” the boy replied. “She ate the bait!”

–ANSWER TO TRIVIA QUESTION:
Q. In what language did Jesus speak to Saul when He met
him on the road to Damascus?
A. Hebrew
“And when we all had fallen to the ground, I heard a voice
speaking to me and saying in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul,
Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to
kick against the goads.’
So I said, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ And He said, ‘I am Jesus,
whom you are persecuting.’”
